PULSE Array-Based Sound Source Exploration Solution Model 7768

It is a useful method for optimizing the radiated sound of a wide range of products, from automobiles, home appliances, power tools, and large machinery to components such as exhaust systems!

Noise Source Identification (NSI) is a useful technique for optimizing the radiated sound of a wide range of products, from automobiles, home appliances, and power tools to large machinery and components such as engines, tires, gearboxes, and exhaust systems. The goal of NSI is to identify the parts of the object that contribute most significantly to the sound, in terms of location, frequency, and acoustic power. By ranking the contributions of each sound source, it is possible to determine where design changes would most effectively improve the overall radiated sound. Array-based methods allow for the acquisition of very high-quality results in a short measurement process. Additionally, by combining acoustic holography and beamforming techniques, accurate and high-resolution mapping across the entire audible frequency range is achievable. Time-domain methods can be applied to investigate transient phenomena such as shocks and rotational increases, or to gain detailed insights into steady sound sources (e.g., radiated sound at each crank angle of an engine). For large steady sound sources, automated measurements can be conducted using an automated microphone positioning system (robot). For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Noise Source Identification (NSI) is useful for optimizing the radiated sound of a wide range of products, from automobiles, home appliances, and power tools to components such as engines, tires, gearboxes, and exhaust systems. The goal of NSI is to identify the location, frequency components, and acoustic power of the sound source that contributes the most to the object in question. By ranking the contributions of each sound source, it is possible to determine where design changes would most effectively improve the overall radiated sound. Using methods based on microphone arrays allows for high-quality results to be obtained with short measurement times. Additionally, by combining acoustic holography and beamforming techniques, accurate and high-resolution mapping across the entire audible frequency range is achievable. Time-domain methods can be applied to gain detailed insights into transient phenomena such as impacts and rotational rises, or steady sound sources (for example, radiated sound at different crank angles of an engine). For large steady sound sources, automatic measurements can be conducted using a microphone positioning system (robot). For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
